My name is Henrik, 37 years old, born and raised in Fredrikstad but I have been living in Oslo for the last 13 years. I have two kids, two and four years, and a great wife.
My interest for the stock market go way back. I bought my first shares in my early teens and studied share prices in the daily financial in Norway (Dagens Næringsliv).
I had an investment club with some friends at high school and was quite active in a student investment club during my years at Copenhagen Business School (http://ha-invest.dk/).
It took some years before I joined the game again, back in 2012. I started to work in AF Gruppen that year and bought shares in the yearly employees share program (by the way, why don’t all listed Companies have that? Great motivation and incentive!). From 2016 I broadened my perspective and bought some other shares as well. Now I run a concentrated portfolio, mostly consisting of high-quality companies.
The last couple of years I have realized that I love the hunt and the game of investing.
As C. Munger cleverly says: “I had a considerable passion to get rich, not because I wanted Ferraris – I wanted the independence. I desperately wanted it”
I couldn’t agree more – and some day I will be doing this full-time.
Anyone here doing this for a living? Or plan to do it some day?
